Would you like to be consulted on planning
policy documents? If "yes", we'd encourage you to join our
Planning Policy Consultation Database. We will notify you whenever
we consult on any draft new policy document. You
will be able to make comments online and see comments
other people have made.
The database belongs to the Council, but is run by an external
company (Limehouse Software). We will keep your details
confidential although, if you make comments, your name will be
shown beside what you say.

Consultation on planning policy documents
Under the new planning system, the Council will be preparing
several different planning documents. Together, they will make up
the West Lancashire Local Development Framework. Most of these
documents will have at least one round of public consultation and
so there will be more consultation taking place than previously,
although there will still be periods when no consultation is taking
place.
The Council must meet certain standards when consulting on
its LDF documents. These are set out in our 2007 Statement
of Community Involvement.
