Infrastructure list (Infrastructure Funding Statement)

From December 2020, the Council are required to publish an Infrastructure Funding Statement (IFS), which includes setting out a list of infrastructure items, or projects, that it intends to fund using developer obligations.  The IFS replaces the earlier CIL Regulation 123 list. 

The list sets out that CIL will be used to help fund infrastructure relating to strategic transport and highways improvements or provision, parks and open spaces, play areas, outdoor spaces, semi-natural open space, community facilities and public realm. 

Affordable housing, education provision, on-site open space and flood alleviation measures will continue to be secured on a site by site basis through either Section 106 agreements or planning conditions.
