(Re)Cycle to Work Scheme
Who We Are
The Strategic Planning and Implementation Team, which is part of the Development and Regeneration Directorate at West Lancashire Borough Council (WLBC), takes your privacy very seriously and will keep your personal data secure at all times.
We will use your personal data to process your claim for a reconditioned bicycle under the (Re)Cycle to Work scheme. If you do not provide your personal data then we will be unable to process your claim.
Retention of Information
We will hold your details for the lifetime of the scheme, for the purpose of audit.
We have a data protection regime in place to oversee the effective and secure processing of your personal information, and also use appropriate technical safeguards to keep your information secure.
The Council must share some of your personal details with the supplier, so they can ensure that only grant recipients collect the bicycles and to prevent the scheme being open to abuse. If your grant application is approved, then your name and address details will be passed to the supplier and they will use the details to check the bicycle is being collected by the recipient of the grant. The supplier is required to destroy your details when i) they have invoiced the Council and have received payment or ii) once the collection deadline has expired (this is two months from approval).
Transfer of Data
We will not transfer your personal data to a country outside of the EU.
Automated Decision Making
We do not engage in automated decision making using your personal data.
