Each quarter the government specify targets in which
planning applications should be determined. The targets are:
- Determine 60% of major applications in 13 weeks
- Determine 65% of minor applications in 8 weeks
- Determine 80% of other applications in 8 weeks
- Determine 90% of applications through delegated powers

In April - June 2011 the Council's
Planning Control section achieved the following results:
- Determined 29% of major applications in 13 weeks
- Determined 79% of minor applications in 8 weeks
- Determined 92% of other applications in 8 weeks
- Determined 93% of applications through delegated powers
In January - March 2011 the Council's

- Determined 83% of major applications in 13 weeks
- Determined 76% of minor applications in 8 weeks
- Determined 89% of other applications in 8 weeks

Council's Planning Control section achieved the following
results:
- Determined 86% of major applications in 13 weeks
- Determined 69% of minor applications in 8 weeks
- Determined 79% of other applications in 8 weeks

In July - September 2010 the
Council's Planning Control section achieved the following
results:
- Determined 50% of major applications in 13 weeks
- Determined 77% of minor applications in 8 weeks
- Determined 87% of other applications in 8 weeks
- Determined 94% of applications through delegated powers
