West Lancashire District Council

Household refuse collections

Household refuse collections
The council collects refuse and recyclables from every home in the district. There is a
grey bin waste rubbish collection
grey bin/bag collection for household waste and a fortnightly recyclables collection.

Household waste
The grey bin system operates across all of West Lancashire except in parts of Skelmersdale. Household waste and recycling is collected fortnightly on alternate weeks, so refuse is taken one week and recycling the next.
