Information for candidates

Postal vote delivery

Postal votes are expected to be despatched on Friday 28 September.  They are despatched using Royal Mail First Class service and may be delivered as early as 29 September.


The count will take place at Hillside School, Egerton, WN8 6ND, after the close of poll.

Each candidate can appoint two (2) counting agents to attend at the count.  The deadline for the appointment is Thursday 4 October.  You may submit your appointments via email to tom.lynan@westlancs.gov.uk with the full name and address of your appointed agents.

Information for voters

Poll cards will be delivered around the 15 September.  You do not need to bring your poll card to the polling station.

Deadline to apply for a postal vote: your application form must reach our office by 5pm 26 September 2018

Deadline to apply for a proxy vote: your application form must reach our office by 5pm on 3 October 2018
