Borough Council and Parish Council Elections

Due to an Electoral Boundary Review which completed in 2022, all-out elections took place on Thursday 4 May 2023. There are 45 seats available in total across 15 wards. Further information on the Electoral Review can be found here (external site).

Due to the death of a candidate in the Rural South Ward, the election in that area was postponed until 22 June 2023.

81 seats in 18 Parish Council areas were also up for election on Thursday 4 May. Following the close of nominations, all Parish areas were uncontested with the exception of Wrightington - Mossy Lea.
