Do you have a passion for wildlife? Can you tell your buff-tailed bumblebee from your common carder bee? Are you the person to ask about wildflowers? Are you simply interested in finding out more about your local wildlife and environment?

If so why not come along and help us with our Bioblitz. Over a period of 24 hours we are going to try and list as many different plant and animal species that are growing on the park as possible - and we need your help! Whether you are a wildlife 'expert' or somebody who has an interest and a desire to learn more you can help us to record what we have at the park.

As well as collating data from individual surveys/photographs. We will also be organising a series of guided surveys/walks over the weekend to help you to find out more about the different things living at the park.

If you have an area of wildlife expertise and would be interested in helping out at the event please get in touch by emailing beacon.park@westlancs.gov.uk
