Green Fayre

Coronavirus Advice.

Under the current guidelines/restrictions all Parks and Countryside events are cancelled until further notice. Due to the uncertainty of the situation and the amount of planning required to stage a show like the Greenfayre West Lancashire Borough Council have taken the decision to cancel the 2021 show. We are hopeful that the situation will improve and allow us to hold the event in 2022.

The Green Fayre is a celebration of the countryside and countryside living and attracts thousands of visitors each year.

Where and when?

Due to the COVID situation the decision has been taken to cancel the 2021 Green Fayre. Should the situation change and the guidance allow the next show will be on Saturday 23rd and Sunday 24th July 2022.

What's there?

In the Arena

There will be exciting shows and displays in the Arena showcasing the wonderful activities and heritage that the Lancashire countryside has to offer. Please check back nearer the time to discover confirmed acts and lineups.

Working woodlands and craft demonstrations

The heart of the Green Fayre belongs with its craft and working woodlands displays. There are a variety of different exhibitors and traders showcasing a wide range of traditional crafts and techniques, working natural materials into products and goods that we use in day-to-day life.

Animal displays

There are a wide range of interactive animal displays and demonstrations at the show. The show is also attended by a range of wildlife and animal welfare charities and organisations providing you with more information on how you can help look after animals both at home and in the wild.

Living history displays

A big part of our show is the Viking encampment that overlooks Skelmersdale. Visit their tented village and find out more about how day-to-day Viking life used to be, then watch as they battle in the show's arena.

Family entertainment

There is loads for families to do at the show. As well as all the crafts and exhibits there are a full range of adventurous activities for you to try your hand at; climbing, abseiling, caving, shooting, archery, bushcrafts - you name it! But if this isn't your cup of tea, don't worry there are also bouncy castles, trampolines, donkey rides and traditional funfair rides for you to have a go at!

Food and drink

Something to tickle everyone's taste buds with gourmet burgers, Lancashire game, hog roast, specialist vegetarian/vegan cuisine and fajitas. Along with a variety of stalls selling pies, cakes, preserves and sweet treats.
