Main Council building Derby Street Ormskirk & Customer Services Point at the Concourse in Skelmersdale.

To support and maintain our critical services during this time, we have closed both our main Council building on Derby Street in Ormskirk and our Customer Services Point at the Concourse in Skelmersdale to the public.

We apologise for this inconvenience but we're sure you'll understand this necessary measure to protect both customers and staff from infection. Many things, such as bill payments and reporting issues can be done on this website.

Leisure Centres

All West Lancashire Community Leisure Trust-run leisure centres have been closed following Government instructions regarding Coronavirus. These are: Banks Leisure Centre; Burscough Fitness and Racquets Centre; Nye Bevan Pool, Skelmersddale; and Park Pool, Ormskirk as well as the golf course at Beacon Park

During the current national lockdown all our parks and countryside areas are open. Please follow the latest government guidance on social distancing and other measures related to the coronavirus.

Ormskirk Market

Ormskirk Market will continue to be open during the lockdown period offering essential goods such as food only in accordance with the latest Government guidance. We will keep you updated when our traders selling non-essential commodities are able to return to the market when current restrictions end. 

The market is an open air environment so you can stay safe and support West Lancashire businesses by shopping local. All market traders will be operating within safe COVID-19 guidelines and offer a friendly service. Please remember to wash your hands regularly, wear face coverings where appropriate (unless exempt) and give each other space.
