West Lancs Together is West Lancashire Partnership’s response to the Coronavirus pandemic. A free helpline has been launched by West Lancashire Borough Council to support anyone feeling vulnerable or isolated at this time.
West Lancs Together will help you to get connected to the right support whether you need help with daily tasks, such as getting food, collecting prescriptions or seeking financial advice during this difficult time. You may want to connect with someone who is available to be a friendly voice over the phone to break up your day.
If you have been identified by the NHS as at risk and you are unable to rely on friends, family or neighbours for adequate practical support whilst at home during the Coronavirus pandemic we would like you to register to request support through on our website or by calling:

This service is open to all residents of West Lancashire who are feeling vulnerable or isolated at this time and are not able to rely on family or friends for practical support while they remain at home.

Macmillan – For those living with cancer (or supporting someone who is) they can offer emotional support, information materials, access to benefits advice, holistic needs assessments, and signposting to local support groups.
Dial A Ride - providing essential door-to-door transport for wheelchair users and others with mobility issues.
Birchwood Centre – Providing crisis accommodation for young people at risk of homelessness, counselling, help with mental health and well-being, emergency food and other services.

Skelmersdale and Ormskirk Foodbanks - Provides a service for those that cannot afford food. To access these services, you will need a referral. Please contact West Lancs Together if you believe you require this service.
West Lancs CVS - Support for voluntary, community, faith and social enterprise (VCFSE) organisations around the challenges they are facing in supporting our community during the COVID-19 crisis, including volunteering , communication, funding, links with public sector and changes to local services.
