West Lancashire Borough Council has decided that it needs to update its Validation Criteria for the validation of planning applications. The Council's Manual on Validation provides information on the validation process and provides information on the National Statutory Requirements and the Council's Local Requirements for the Validation of Planning Applications (Local List). The National and Local requirements for validating planning applications have been updated to take account of national and local planning policies and the advice in National Planning Practice Guidance.
The Local List is prepared by a Local Planning Authority to clarify what information is usually required for applications of a particular type, scale or location.
The Council is consulting on the proposed changes to the Validation Criteria and the draft consultation version of the document is available here. The consultation will run for a period of 6 weeks until 12th July.
The Council would like to seek your views with regard to the proposed changes to its Validation Criteria and would be grateful to receive your comments. You can send these by email to email@example.com
At the expiry of the consultation period, all responses will be taken into consideration and a final revised validation criteria document, including the Council's Local List of validation requirements will be published on the Council's web site.
