Great British Spring Clean

If you are looking to support Keep Britain Tidy's Great British Spring Clean campaign, which runs from runs from 28 May to 13 June, then we can help you.

Through this campaign, Keep Britain Tidy is asking us all to join its #MillionMileMission to clear litter from our communities while staying within the government's guidelines to keep us all safe from coronavirus. The latest information on these can be found at coronavirus (external link).

Councillor Kevin Wilkie, portfolio holder for Street Scene, said: "Providing a cleaner environment for our borough is one of our priorities and we invest considerable time and resources towards achieving that goal.

"We are proud to support the Great British Spring Clean campaign and happy to help if you are planning a litter pick for the campaign. Let's make sure we all stick to the government guidance whilst undertaking these activities so that we can stay safe and keep on the roadmap out of lockdown."

We can loan out litter picking sticks and provide bags for litter collection as well as collecting any materials that are picked up. For us to be able to help, you will need to register with us and this can be done by e-mailing us at environmental.enforcementofficers@westlancs.gov.uk.

As ever, we continue to be grateful to the many individuals and groups across the borough who are helping to keep our communities clean.
