Great work at volunteer food hubs

As part of the celebrations for Volunteers Week, West Lancashire Borough Council is highlighting the great work that volunteer food hubs have played in the response to Coronavirus.

Councillor Ian Moran, Leader of West Lancashire Borough Council said "Our volunteers have always been at the heart of our neighbourhoods. Every day centres such as the Birchwood Hub and the Evermoor Hub give their time, energy, skills and support and I know there is great work happening in other volunteer groups across the borough and Lancashire as a whole. I have seen the difference these volunteers have made to people and their families."

Volunteer Week is a national celebration for those who have volunteered in their communities and everyone who helps others are being encouraged to share their own experiences. If you make a difference to the lives of others please share the great work you do and tag @VolunteersWeek to tell your story.
