National Lockdown

Following the government announcement of further lockdown measures yesterday we would like to reassure our local communities and businesses of the ongoing work with partner organisations to prevent the virus spreading and support the needs of everyone in West Lancashire.

Councillor Ian Moran, Leader of West Lancashire Borough Council, said: "We are continuing to work closely with all partners of the Lancashire Resilience Forum to ensure our communities remain as safe as possible and we would ask residents to follow the guidance to stay at home and not leave your house unless really necessary. Our efforts will be to ensure essential Council services will continue as they have done throughout the pandemic and our staff can continue to provide support to vulnerable residents and businesses alongside providing these vital day to day services."

We are continuing to support vulnerable residents who do not have any support in place through West Lancs Together. If you are struggling financially due to the impact of the pandemic you are also are encouraged to get in touch via the Council website so that we can refer you for support and advice.

Local businesses can also find details of information and support available on our website which is regularly updated as we receive updated guidance from the government.

Please ensure you and your family know what you can and cannot do and a helpful information on how to stay safe can be found at the Government website (external link).
