A Strategic Flood Risk Assessment (SFRA) assesses the risk to an area from flooding from all sources (river and coastal, surface), now and in the future. It takes account of the impacts of climate change and assesses the impact that land use changes and development in the area will have on flood risk.
A 'Level 1' SFRA looks at flood risk in more general terms. The 2017 Level 1 SFRA is currently being refreshed and the updated version will be available shortly.
A 'Level 2 ' SFRA considers site-specific locations. The Level 2 documents (2018) are available below.
