The Twelve Sites of Christmas

Help! the naughty elves have stolen all of Father Christmas' magical snowflakes and scattered them far and wide across the Boroughs Parks and Countryside sites.

We need a team of clever and cunning explorers to help us find them.

Below you will find a series of maps showing where those pesky elves have put each snowflake. Can you find them and unlock the secret codeword at each site and send them to us? Great.

The Sapphire Snowflakes are lost around Abbey Lakes. Here is the map below.

Phew, that was a mouthful! All in all the naughty elves have scattered 96 snowflakes across the parks, how many can you find?

For each codeword you discover and send to us, as a thank you, we will enter you into a prize draw to win a Ranger Service Goodybag and a make your own Reindeer Kit! Wowee!

To enter, all you need to do is fill in the entry form, that can be found below, and email it to Beacon.Park@westlancs.gov.uk by Friday 6th January 2023. If you cannot edit the entry form and do not have access to a printer/scanner then simply pop the information directly into an email and send it to us. Please put "Snowflakes" as the subject title of your email. You will get one entry per trail completed and you can only submit each trail once. There will be 12 winners who will be selected at random on Monday 9th January and announced via this webpage and the WLBC Rangers social media pages. Good Luck and Thank You!
