By paying priority bills on time we can ensure that our credit rating is improved or kept to a high level.  This includes bills such as electricity, gas, water, mobile phones and mortgage payments (this list is not exhaustive)

People who rent their home do not have the same advantage of those who pay a mortgage, as normally, paying your rent on time does not help your credit rating.
