 Jobcentres: Skelmersdale / Ormskirk To let everyone, know that Job Centres and Benefit Centres will close from Friday 24th December 2021 at 17:00 and reopen on Thursday 30th December 2021. We are closed on New Year’s day 1st January 2022 reopening on Tuesday the 4th January 2022.
 
Please note telephone lines will remain open on the 24th December 2021 for missing and urgent payments only. 
All payments due 24-29 are paid on 24, 
EXCEPT Universal Credit where 29 paid as normal.
All payments due 30-31 paid as normal.
All payments due 3, plus those in Scotland due 4, paid on 31,
EXCEPT Universal Credit (everywhere 4 paid as normal).

We do have an out of hours service for emergency homeless cases available 24/7 over that period. The number is 01695 577 177. It is an emergency line only for people who find themselves homeless over that period and are not able to make alternative arrangements until the Council re-opens, it's not a general housing advice line and the staff can't deal with queries about general housing applications.

Referral Voucher must be obtained through either West Lancs Ark, Citizen’s Advice or Rev.  at Burscough.

Include First name only and how many people in house hold. ARK will act as a referral agent: Westlancsark@hotmail.co.uk 
and will complete referral voucher for customer.
Oak House / Trinity will require a voucher through referral agents at Citizen’s Advice.
Burscough have a REV. Who will act as referral agent.
Ormskirk Foodbank

Open Tuesday 21st December / Thursday 23rd December and then closed until Tuesday 4th January 2022. 

Food bank will make up Emergency Bags for the Job Centre to cover the closure period.
Ennerdale Hub (Ennerdale House, next door to Tan House Community Centre, Skelmersdale)

Christmas Eve from 6pm – first come, first served – “Christmas Hampers” will be available for anyone who needs them.
Christmas Day – open from 10-2pm Drop in for Mince Pies and a Hot Drink. Don’t be lonely, pop in for a festive chat!!

 

Cottage Lane Mission, Cottage Lane Ormskirk, L39 3NE
