Skelmersdale Ambassadors welcomes businesses and organisations to attend their first event of 2024

Step into the Skelmersdale success story and join the Skelmersdale Ambassadors for their first meeting of the year on 7th February 2024.  

The Skelmersdale Ambassadors is a powerful coming together of businesses, organisations and individuals that have a connection to and with Skelmersdale.  Come along to the first event of the year and hear how you can play your part in making your business even better, by being part of the Skelmersdale story, and help shape the next phase of the journey. 

You will hear about some of the key plans and developments for our area and the benefits that this will bring to you to and your organisation, whilst connecting with like-minded business and organisational leaders. 

We invite organisations with connections to Skelmersdale to join the Ambassadors, to help celebrate and show case Skelmersdale as a great place to invest, work, learn and live, as well as benefit from meeting fellow business leaders and making new connections. 

This influential business breakfast event takes place on: 

Date: 7th February 2024

Venue: Best Western Lancashire Manor Hotel, Prescott Road, Skelmersdale, WN8 9QO

Time: 8am – 10am (registration from 7:45 am with a prompt 8.30am start)

Refreshments:  Breakfast and refreshments are included

Cost: FREE (we anticipate a high attendance at this event and therefore booking is essential to secure your place).

Jacqui Sinnott Lacey, Chief Operating Officer at West Lancashire Borough Council, said: “West Lancashire Borough Council are delighted to be supporting the Skelmersdale Ambassadors from the Council's UK Shared Prosperity Fund. An exciting programme of business and place focused events has been planned for 2024/5 and I would therefore encourage organisations who have a connection with Skelmersdale to become Ambassadors, connect with likeminded businesses and help to strengthen our local economy".

Cllr Rob Molloy, portfolio holder for Economic Development and Regeneration, said: " The advent of the Skelmersdale Ambassadors will act as a catalyst for our business community and harness the drive and ambition that they have to develop, grow and ensure that Skelmersdale is a great place to do business".
