Lancashire Sports Awards 2018

Now in their sevententh year, the Lancashire Sports Awards pay tribute to those, young and old, who show dedication to perform at the highest level or those who work tirelessly to support individuals or clubs week in, week out, for the love of sport.

Last year, we had representatives from West Lancashire in the following categories:

  • Community Club 
  • Adult Volunteer 
  • Service to Disability Sport Award 
  • Young Achiever 
  • Secondary School Coach

Well done to all our representatives and a big congratulations to our Winner in the Coach of the Year catergory – ‘Claire Howard’ from Streetwise Taekwondo Club and also ‘Ormskirk High School’ who received the Highly Commended in the Secondary School of the Year catergory!

2018 West Lancs nominations are now open for the following categories: 

  • Club of the Year 
  • Coach of the Year 
  • Community Project of the Year 
  • Volunteer of the Year 
  • Primary School of the Year 
  • Secondary School of the Year 
  • Young Achiever of the Year 
  • Service to Underrepresented Groups 
  • Lifetime Achievement - Commitment to Sport

Nomination forms can be found at Lancashire Sports Awards (external link). Closing date for West Lancashire nominations is Friday 24 August 2018.

The local winners of each category are automatically put forward to represent West Lancashire at the Lancashire Sports Awards at The Blackpool Hotel and Conference Centre, previously known as the Hilton Hotel Blackpool on Friday 23rd November 2018.
