Licensing policy

The Council, as 'Licensing Authority', is required to produce a Statement of Licensing Policy. This important document sets out the guiding principles by which the Licensing Authority will make its decisions. The document can be reviewed at any time, however the Licensing Authority must formally review the document every 5 years. It is therefore important that all applicants and existing licence holders are aware of the contents of the Policy.

The current Policy was agreed by Council on 11 December 2019, published prior to 7 January 2020 and is effective from 7 February 2020.

This Policy shall remain in effect for five years and will be reviewed no later than the 7 February 2025.
