Moving into a new home can be difficult as well as exciting. To help those who may not have the basic items needed to set up a home, such as a bed, sofa, fridge etc. the council has a furnished tenancy scheme to help provide these.
There are only a set number of furnished tenancies available. There will be a charge for any items supplied, which may be covered by housing benefit if you are on a low income.
