Countryside and park events

Throughout the year the Parks and Countryside service plan and organise a wide variety of walks, events and activities for all members of the community to enjoy.

Self guided trails and activities.

The Parks and Countryside Service have created a number of self guided trails and activities for use in our parks. These can be found and downloaded from our Natural Learning and site specific pages. 

The Green Fayre

The Green Fayre is the biggest event that the Parks and Countryside Service organise.  A huge celebration of the countryside and of countryside living. There are arena displays, craft displays, animals, childrens entertainment and many, many stalls. To find out more please click the link below.

Junior Rangers Club

Junior Rangers events are aimed at children aged 5-12 and give the children a chance to take a closer look at some of the plants and animals that can be found in our parks.  Adult supervision is required on these events and booking is required.
