Ormskirk MotorFest 2019

Motorfest logo 2The 2019 Ormskirk MotorFest roars into town on Sunday 25 August when a fantastic array of vehicles from all eras of motoring will line up on town centre streets and in Coronation Park for people to admire.
Ormskirk MotorFest is one of the biggest free family events in the North West. Huge crowds are expected to come along and enjoy the wonderful range of cars, motorcycles and other vehicles on display.

2019 marks some significant anniversaries in British motoring history and MotorFest organisers are looking to celebrate these at this year's exciting extravaganza.

Not only does this year mark the 100th anniversary of the first Bentley being built, it is also the 70th birthday of the Jaguar XK120 – the fastest production car in the world when it was built – and the 60th birthday of the Mini. 2019 is also the 60th anniversary of the 1959 British Grand Prix at Aintree, which was the first time a British Racing Partnership entry had finished in the top three of a Grand Prix.

To celebrate these milestones MotorFest organisers are looking to put on special parades and displays featuring Minis, Bentleys and Jaguars at the next marvellous Ormskirk MotorFest on Sunday 25 August 2019 and are encouraging owners of Minis, Bentleys and Jaguars to take part. To enter your vehicle visit Ormskirk MotorFest (external link).

Anyone thinking of being a Motorsport Marshal has an extra incentive to get involved in this and other similar motorsport events as it could lead to them winning a cash prize from Aintree Circuit Club. First prize is £250, second prize is £150 and third prize is £100.

To be eligible people must hold a Motorsport UK marshal’s accreditation, or if a new marshal they must show proof of passing the free online accreditation tests. They must attend and act as a marshal at the 2019 Ormskirk MotorFest and a minimum of seven other events organised by a member of the Association of North West Circuit Clubs (ANWCC) across three separate disciplines (such as Autotest, Speed & Rally).

Marshals will also be eligible for the monthly ANWCC Marshals’ Prize draws, subject to them sending in their claims to the Championship Co-ordinator, which will also be used to register qualifying events counting towards the ACC Incentive Awards.

To register as a marshal for the 2019 Ormskirk MotorFest please visit Ormskirk MotorFest (external link). Marshals attending Motorfest will also continue to be paid a flat rate for expenses and receive refreshments.
