COVID-19 Business Support

West Lancashire Borough Council have been able to appoint a temporary Business Recovery Information Officer, Michael Graham, funded by the government's Welcome Back Fund and the Contain Outbreak Management Fund until the end of March.

Michael is able to speak to a range of businesses, especially those who operate on the high street, shopping areas or those that are a part of the visitor economy in the borough, helping them embrace technology and ideas to aid long term business opportunities that also keep everyone safe in the interim.

Skills Support: Digital Boost

Digital Boost has been launched which provides free digital support to small businesses to help boost digital business skills. With free Mentoring, Workshops, Courses and Content to help you understand digital better

From building a website, to launching digital advertising, to scaling up delivery for e-commerce, get support from experts who've done this all before.

Boost, Lancashire’s Business Growth Hub, has created a service dedicated to helping businesses manage the impact of the crisis and plan their recovery.

Local support: Lancashire Skills Swap Service

Lancashire Enterprise Partnership's Skills and Employment Hub has launched the Lancashire Skills Swap service to support the local business community during the coronavirus pandemic. This unique service is dedicated to helping businesses who are looking for staff or volunteers, want to train their staff or want to offer people with knowledge and expertise to work for another business.

Businesses can access this support by visiting the Lancashire Skills Swap page (external link) and registering their details.

The Lancashire Skills Swap is part of the wider #AskForHelp campaign led by Boost (external link), Lancashire’s Business Growth Hub which is offering advice, information and support to Lancashire's business community.
